One of the paradoxes I can‘t resolve about the anti-globalization movement: On the one hand, it’s no good to have US firms exploit banana plantation and textile workers who have low wages and bad working conditions. At the same time, it’s no good to export customer service jobs, with good pay and good working conditions.
I guess the message is – just don’t employ people in other countries. A bit like Mom’s advice not to talk to strangers.
